Covid Information

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Derbyshire after what we are sure will have been a difficult few months during the Coronavirus lockdown.  To help you relax into your stay and ensure you have all the information you need so you can be confident that we have taken all precautions possible, please find below some information and changes to our properties which have been implemented after a full Risk Assessment as requested by our agent Cottages.com

Cleaning

We know that cleanliness will be even more important to our guests than ever, so we have done everything we can to enhance our cleaning regime in line with current government guidelines.

All non-essential items that are difficult to clean have been removed from the property, this includes board games, books and the wii console, as well as ornamental features.  Some items have remained in small batches that will be rotated between alternate guest groups so they can be quarantined in-between.  These items include cushions and information leaflets.  We appreciate this makes the space seem a little less homely than usual, but hope that you can be understanding of this in these difficult circumstances.

High touch items such as light switches, sockets, cords, appliances and remote controls have been sanitised using anti-viral disinfectant

All surfaces have been sanitised with anti-viral disinfectant and remaining soft furnishings and curtains have been steam cleaned

All cleaners are symptom free, have received the correct training, and have been provided with adequate PPE including facemasks and gloves.

Arrival & Departure

To allow for the additional cleaning duties described above, we will need guests to vacate the property for 9.30am on the day of departure, and check ins will be from 5pm on your day of arrival.

Check in and Check out will be via a Key Safe to minimise unnecessary contact.  The code during your stay will be sent to you prior to your arrival.

During your stay

Certain items will be rotated between alternate guests and cleaned and quarantined in between – these include information leaflets, cushions and certain crockery items such as sugar bowls.

Any maintenance of items within the property can only be carried out during a guest stay if it is an emergency, and in those cases we would need to ask you to temporarily vacate the property in order to allow the safest possible access for the relevant maintenance person.

Anti-bacterial hand cleaner and sanitising hand gel is available in the property during your stay, with touch free units just inside all external doors.  Please follow the government guidelines on handwashing and hygiene during your stay.

Your welcome tray and complementary toiletries will be made up of single use items (which can be recycled wherever possible) as directed by government guidelines.

We try and give the most up to date information possible about the current situation locally with regard to the services available at local eateries and shops.  It is changing quite quickly at present so it would be best to double check any details with the venues directly before setting off.

What to do if you become ill during your stay

If you become ill during your stay with us with any of the COVID-19 symptoms (high temperature, dry cough, loss of smell and taste), please let us know immediately, as well as contact the agency you booked through.
